Control the Moisture in Your Hive Keep honey bees comfortable year-round with this notched inner cover. Place it on top of your hive, just below the telescoping cover, to help provide the necessary ventilation, insulation and proper working space for bees. 2-3/4″ center hole allows fresh air to circulate and helps control moisture to prevent condensation buildup (less moisture in your hive means less moisture in the nectar!). Plus, it serves as an easy access point for smoking bees when you’re working in your hive. The inner cover also controls the working space, so bees don’t fill the space with comb between the top super and telescoping cover (it’s less messy and preserves your bees’ energy!) Fits our 10-frame bee boxes and components. Fully assembled. Handcrafted by an Amish family who raises their own bees. Metal top; interior is made of unpainted pine. Dimensions: 18-1/2″ x 22-1/4″ x 2-1/4″. USA made in Ohio. FOR BEST CARE: We recommend any wooden hive component surface exposed to the elements be protected with exterior primer and paint before use. Only prime and paint the outside, never the inside where the bees live.
